How We Met

Rosie and I (Aaron) met in our hometown in Illinois at a gathering of friends. We had instant chemistry, and from that night forward we were inseparable. Though she had introduced herself to me as Rosie, I later discovered her actual first name is Erin (yep we have the same name). It was a sign! It took me a while to ask her out, because she was the kindest & most genuine person I have ever met, and I was sure it was too good to be true.

The Adventure

Shortly after we started dating, we made the move to Arizona for a change of scenery. As forest creatures we found it was quite the adjustment from the lush green that we love… but we found the desert strangely felt more and more like home. The next few years were a whirlwind of adventures. From hikes down to Havasupai Falls, road-trips to Napa Valley and countless National Parks, flying to Music Festivals around the country, to sleeping on beaches and hiking remote trails in Kaui - life took us places! We learned to value sharing new experiences and spending quality time together above all.

Love unfolding

One rainy afternoon, in a rainforest in Olympic National Park WA, I set my camera up and told her we were taking a Christmas card photo. With the camera rolling, I instead got down on one knee and asked her to be my wife. Thankfully …she said “yes” and a year later we walked down the aisle (with our pup Emmi on our heels) and promised each other our forever love.

Our wedding day was a blur of emotion, nerves, and absolute perfection. It was the culmination of years of memories, trials and hardships, joy and elation. We were surrounded by so much love as our families rallied around us, both cheering us on and making our dream-day a reality!

Now

Fast forward 3 years, pure love entered our life in the form of a baby girl. We are thrilled to be in this new chapter of our love story! When we aren’t out on shoots, editing content or meeting with clients… we are having quality family time, figuring out parenthood, shooting archery together, mountain biking or hiking in some forest, or adding to Rosie’s rock collection.

Our story has given us an appreciation for marriage, and what a powerful symbol it can be of enduring love and commitment.
